It’s time to get back to business, so to kick off 2025 – I thought I’d give away 3 simple hospitality digital marketing tips to increase bookings without increasing traffic.
Tip 1: Find out who’s really booking using Google Analytics 4
The majority of tourism business owners I speak to have no tracking set up on their booking system. Without it, you know where your website traffic is coming from – but not your bookings.
Want a simple fix? Check your booking system has an auto-redirect for bookers. Then send any bookers to a ‘thank you’ page, only accessible after making a booking. Then, create a referral exclusion in Google analytics.

Tip 2: Increase & improve email capture CTA
Think about it… no one’s finding your website by accident. People who visit are actively looking for a holiday or weekend break. They are highly likely to make a booking… just maybe, not yet.
Increase mailing list sign ups with multiple improved email address capture CTAS. Try using competitions, special offers and cancellation lists.
Tip 3: And if that doesn’t work…
And for those holiday makers that visit the website, think about booking, and still don’t join the mailing list. Did you know there’s another way to reach them using Meta ads?
You can use Meta ads to target people who’ve visited your website, but haven’t reached specific pages like ‘booking’ and ‘thank you’ pages.
